About Us

The DBT Center of San Diego (DBTCSD) began in 2005. DBTCSD provides skills training and individual DBT for adult and adolescent patients, and provides supervision, consultation, and workshops for mental health professionals. Click here for a full description of DBT.


Milton Brown, Ph.D.

Dr. Brown received intensive DBT training as a student of Marsha Linehan for 10 years and is currently a psychology professor at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, where he trains graduate students in cognitive behavioral therapies, including DBT. He completed his clinical internship at the Veteran Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System, where he was trained at the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Brown provides DBT workshops for mental health professionals across the United States.

Lisa Campbell, Ph.D.

Dr. Campbell received intensive training in DBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy at the University of Nevada, and is also an expert in treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder. She is currently a staff psychologist at the VA San Diego Healthcare System.

Alexandria Murallo, Ph.D.

Dr. Murallo received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University in 2009. She has worked in primary care, counseling centers, and in private practice conducting individual, group, family, and couples psychotherapy. She has specialized training in health psychology, and has considerable experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. She is currently registered in the state of California as a psychological assistant (PSB 34877), but is not yet licensed in California. Her clinical work is supervised by Drs. Brown and Campbell.

Rochelle Voth, Ph.D.

Dr. Voth is an expert in mindfulness-based therapies including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT). She is currently a staff psychologist in the UCSD Department of Psychiatry and is the Director of Professional Training at the UCSD Center for Mindfulness.
