DBT Adult Skills Group

We allow attendance in our adult skills training groups when the primary therapist is not a therapist at the DBT Center of San Diego. To determine your eligibility, we need to review your current situation and speak with your current therapist. The process of determining your eligibility may take up to several weeks to complete.

Our adult skills training groups currently take place at the following times (choose one):

  • Tuesdays, 4:00-5:30pm (virtual/telehealth)
  • Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm (virtual/telehealth)
  • Thursdays, 5:30-7:00pm (at the clinic)

Please follow the steps below.

Please fill out our client information form (click here) and a group therapists will contact you after they receive your form.

The client should complete these questionnaires:

  • SBQ
  • QIDS
  • BSL
  • Consent forms (your group therapist will email you the link to sign these through our Theranest client portal)

Your therapist needs to complete our Skills Group Therapist Form

Your therapist needs to contact your DBT intake therapist (one of your skills group therapists) to set up a phone call to discuss your situation after all forms and questionnaires are completed.

Once all these steps have been completed, and we have determined you to be eligible, you may enroll in our skills training group.

In most cases we encourage full DBT, but we will work with you to determine your eligibility for our other services when necessary.
